Reiki is a traditional hands-on or hands-off (auric) Japanese energy healing therapy. It can help in a wide range of conditions - from specific injuries to more general symptoms of poor health. Reiki is a deeply relaxing experience and regular sessions help to prevent the build up of stress in our daily lives.

The
Philosophy underlying Reiki s that the energy (known as Ki in Japanese)
flows throughout the body in a series of channels called meridians. For
many different reasons Ki can stop flowing freely and this then
produces a symptom. Your Reiki practitioner will consider your state of
health, the symptoms you are experiencing and, depending upon your
constitution and general energy levels, will use a variety of Reiki
techniques to improve your energy flow.
As the quality of Ki changes, the symptoms associated with a lack of flow will gradually improve. Reiki is a therapy that works on the individual as a complete being - not just the physical body but also on an emotional, spiritual, or mental level.
Reiki is spiritually guided Universal Life energy, an ancient form of healing derived from Tibetan Buddhism. Reiki flows through the practitioner and out through the hands into the client, boosting the life force of the client so that he or she can experience greater health, emotional and mental harmony, and the realization of the true inner self. Reiki works on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual, karmic and etheric levels. Reiki increases the effectiveness and results of anyone in the touch therapy fields.
There are three degrees of Reiki. First Degree attunes you to healing on the physical level. Second Degree attunes you to healing and clearing on mental and emotional levels. You learn the sacred symbols and how to use them during treatments and distance healing. 3rd or Master Degree attunes you to healing on a higher spiritual level. You learn the Master symbols, how to pass attunements, and how to teach.

for a Japanese translator. FIRST DEGREE REIKI REIKI means Universal Life Force Energy. It is balanced spiritual energy that flows from Spirit through the practitioner. Reiki is an ancient Tibetan Buddhist form of hands-on healing. Reiki Level One is the beginning, and the opportunity to lay a good foundation for further Reiki work, such as Reiki II. It is a one session intensive experience that involves an attunement to the energy of Reiki on the four of the energetic centers ("Chakras") by an initiation process. During the Reiki I course you will experience how to be more sensitive to energy, as well as discover how you react and respond to energy in any given moment. You will also learn how to work on yourself and to work on others. There is time for questions and also the experience of working with a group. It allows one to experience greater health, emotional and mental harmony, and the realization of the true inner self. Reiki promotes physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, karmic, and etheric growth and healing and brings deep relaxation, dissolves energy blocks, vitalizes the chakra centers, and detoxifies the system. The First Degree Course includes instruction on hands-on healing techniques, Reiki meditations, and various healing techniques. REIKI II Reiki Level II is for people who want to enhance their Reiki energy or do distance healing. The Second-Degree Reiki Class includes three distance symbols, scanning and beaming techniques, and various distance-healing techniques. The 2nd degree attunement works more directly on the etheric body and tends to stimulate the intuitive center that is located at the pituitary and pineal glands, the body's "Telepathic Apparatus." After the initiation, this center is more easily focused. As a result, Reiki 2 students find that as time passes they are more attuned to their Higher Selves, and will find the energy amplified for emotional / mental healing. This one session class includes an initiation on your hands and feet, learning to use three symbols, and practical techniques using this level of focused energy. You will have the ability to send energy over distance, and how to send energy to the past, present and future. ADVANCED REIKI CERTIFICATION The Advanced Reiki Class includes Breathing Reiki Light, Breathing with Gassho, Breathing Exercises for Chakra Activating, Cell Activating Exercises, Reiki Wishes, and working with the Inner Child and Higher Self. (Pre-req. Reiki II). The Master Reiki Class includes the attunement that will increase the energy you channel, teach advanced healing methods, and give you the ability to pass Reiki to others. You will be taught two master symbols and to teach and attune others. The Reiki Master Teacher Training is for students who have achieved First, Second, and Advanced training and have been in the practice of Reiki for at least a year. ABOUT CLASSES, INITIATIONS, AND TREATMENTS
REIKI is Universal Life Energy, a powerful healing technique that promotes wellness on emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual levels. This gentle hands-on healing techniques are natural, soothing, relaxing, and cleansing and can be easily experienced or learned by everyone. Reiki classes center around "attunements" in which a teacher opens the student's energy centers and aligns them to the Reiki energy. Classes include discussions of Reiki theory and history and how and when to use it. Hands-on practice occurs in all sessions. First Degree Reiki attunes you to healing on the physical level for yourself and others. Initiations by the Reiki Master open the student's energy centers and align them to the universal flow of energy. Classes consist of meditations, discussions on theory, ethics, and history, how and when to use the healing, and "hands on" practice. Reiki Master Cheryl Niggle will teach you several techniques that include breathing and visualization methods that strengthen your energy and help you to use Reiki to pray for happiness and health. A minimum treatment session is 30 minutes ($75). Longer sessions are recommended for maximum benefit. Following a treatment, there can be a feeling of increased vitality and you may feel invigorated yet relaxed. We suggest that you do not eat heavily two hours prior to treatment and drink no alcohol before or after treatment. After treatment, drink plenty of water to smooth the flow of changes through the system. If at all possible avoid strenuous or stressful activities after your session. Distance Healing is also available and creates a soothing flow of reconnection and activates channels of energy to increase wellness in all areas of life.
