Witch Hazel

"An astringent obtained from hamamelis virginiana." - from the Sore No More! website.

We include witch hazel in our product because it is an all around great ingredient for the skin.  As mentioned above, it is obtained from the hamamelis virginiana plant, which is a deciduous shrub native to the mid and eastern United States.  It has an ongoing reputation as a great medicinal plant.

Witch Hazel is highly versatile and can be used for the following;

  • as a skin conditioner
  • to combat acne
  • to relieve itching
  • to combat razor burn and rashes
  • to sooth sunburns
  • to relieve pain in sore muscles

These are some of the great uses of Witch Hazel, but a quick google search will yield many more.   Keep in mind that Witch Hazel helps Sore No More! relieve the pain in sore muscles and condition the skin, but should not be used on open wounds, as the other ingredients could cause a great deal of stinging.
